Activities

I. Vigilance Awareness Week 2009

As per the direction of Central Vigilance Commission, the Department observed 'Vigilance Awareness Week' from 03-07 Nov. 2009.

The Pledge related to the celebration of the Vigilance Awareness Week was administered to the officers and staff of DST and DSIR on 03.11.2009 at 11 A.M. near the Flag-post in DST complex. Shri Anuj Sinha, Sc.'G' in DST and Dr. Vibhu Rashmi, Sc. 'G' in DSIR administered the Pledge in Hindi and English respectively.

On 05.11.2009, an inter-active session between the officers/Scientists of various Divisions of the Department and users of services provided to various institutions was organized to sensitze them about the problems being faced by them while dealing with each other and to raise awareness on preventive vigilance.

The week was concluded on 06.11.2009 by screening documnetary film on 'e-seva' and lecture by Shri Sameer Sahai, Director, Central Vigilance Commission on 'Preventive Vigilance'.

II. Training programme for Vigilance Officers under DST

An Orientation Workshop for Vigilance Officers of sub-ordinate offices and aided institutions under the Deptt. of Science & Technology was organized from 30.11.2009 to 04.12.2009 under the Scheme "National Training Programme for Scientists/Technologists working as Vigilance Officers" at CBI Academy, Ghaziabad. Course Contents were framed to facilitate the Scientists working as part-time Vigilance Officers to discharge their duties connected with Vigilance work smoothly.
