DST Showcases Clean Energy Research, Development and Demonstration Outputs at International Conference on Sustainable Biofuels.

The conference held at India Habitat Centre in New Delhi, India on 26th and 27th February 2018. Jointly organised by DBT, Ministry of Science and Technology, India & Mission Innovation – India along with Biofuture Platform.

The Department of Science and Technology (DST) showcased Clean Energy Research, Development and Demonstration Outputs in the DST Pavilion and focused on development of renewable energy in India with focus on solar energy. DST demonstrated videos and posters to visitors from MI Country. The event provided an opportunity to foreign guests to get to know and understand India's achievements in future energy. Several MI member countries toured DST pavilion and experienced the videos & posters such as “Solar sea water desalination and thermal storage units, Shallow emitter silicon solar cell and modules process technology, Surya Jyoti – Micro Solar Dome, Hybrid Solar-Biomass Power Plant and Solar Inverter” exhibited in the DST pavilion.

DST was represented in the exhibition by Dr. Ranjith Krishna Pai, Scientist 'D' / Principal Scientific Officer Technology Mission Division, DST. The exhibition was conceptualized and developed by a scientific team comprising of Dr. Sanjay Bajpai (Adviser/ Scientist 'G'), Shri Vineet Saini (Scientist 'D') and Dr. Ranjith Krishna Pai (Scientist 'D', DST Coordinator in the Exhibition)
