Achievements :  

Developing and coordinating bi-lateral cooperation programme of India with other countries for last two decades. Current job involves coordination and review of such bi-lateral arrangements with over 60 countries as well as support/monitoring of joint R&D projects sponsored through team of scientists in identified themes . Some of the major projects have led to creation of Centres of Excellence.

Initiation, coordination and implementation of Integrated Long Term Programme of Cooperation in Science and Technology between India and Russia popularly known as ILTP. 136 projects are under implementation. Seven joint Centres of Excellence, namely, Advanced Research Centre for Powder Metallurgy and New Materials, Hyderabad; Advanced Computing Research Centre in Moscow; Biotechnology Centre in Allahabad; Gas Hydrate Centre in Chennai, Seismology Centre in New Delhi and Ayurveda Research Centre in Moscow created under the Programme, are operational.

During 1992-95, while working as Counsellor for S&T in Embassy of India, Moscow, useful exchange of Russian and Indian Scientists were organized in large numbers. This contributed in building up and successful implementation of ILTP. Participated in initiation of India's major high-tech projects with Russia.

During period of work with DRDO and Defence Production, notable contribution was made in the area of import substitution particularly for imported battle vehicles.
