Pre-announcement: India-France call for proposals in Applied Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence-DST

During the second meeting of the India France Joint Committee for Science and Technology held in Delhi, it was agreed that the Department of Science and Technology (DST) of the Government of India and the French National Research Agency (ANR) agreed to launch new calls for co-funded projects in order to continue and intensify scientific cooperation between India and France.

Following the first edition dedicated to "Green Hydrogen Innovations for Sustainable Energy Solutions", the two organisations will launch, between February and March 2026, a second call for proposals in applied Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence.

Through a bilateral funding, both organizations seek to fund innovative binational projects that demonstrate strong synergy between the teams in both countries and genuine integration of joint work. The partners will form a joint research team combining complementary skills within the framework of a joint project.

The aim of this India-France call for proposals is to strengthen Indo-French cooperation on topics combining Applied Mathematics and Artificial Intelligence: Artificial Intelligence in the service of Applied Mathematics, but also Mathematics as science for Artificial Intelligence. The call for proposals will specify the priority areas.
