The Department of Science and Technology is successfully implementing the WISE-PhD programme with receipt of overwhelming response in terms of the number of proposals received under the ‘Throughout the year Open’ Call.

 

As per the recent developments, the Department is going to implement the unified scheme ‘Vigyan Dhara’ from 1st January, 2025. Moreover, the Ministry of Finance has directed some modifications in the 'Process for flow of funds' which is also going to be implemented with effect from 1st January, 2025. All the programs under the existing three sub-schemes are slated to re-organize and be brought under the ‘Vigyan Dhara’ scheme and the new fund flow system, thereby enhancing efficiency in fund utilization and establishing synchronization among the sub-schemes/ programs.

 

In view of this, the call for Proposal for the WISE Fellowship for Ph.D. (WISE-PhD) programme will be closed on 31st December, 2024 at 23:59 hours for updating the Programme and ‘Call for Proposal’ modalities in-line with the ‘Vigyan Dhara’ scheme and the new fund flow system.

 

The fresh call for WISE-PhD shall be announced shortly thereafter, in a time-bound ‘Call for Proposals’ mode, twice a year.

 

The current call for proposal submission at  https://onlinedst.gov.in/ will close on 31st December, 2024 at 23:59 hours.
