Students exposed to basic knowledge, synthesis methods & applications of luminescence nanomaterials at Karyashala

MSc and PhD level students are being exposed to basic knowledge, various synthesis methods and characterization tools, photonic and bio-photonic applications of different kinds of luminescence nanomaterials at the DST-SERB Winter Karyashala.

The seven days Karyashala on Luminescent Nanomaterials for Photonic and Bio-photonic Applications being organized during 17-23 September 2021 by the Institute of Nano Science and Technology, Mohali, an autonomous institute of the Department of Science & Technology, Govt. of India, features talks by experts from the field of nanomaterials from different IITs, IISERs, and national institutes.

The nanomaterials that are being covered in the talks are Halide Perovskites, Semiconductor Quantum Dots, Carbon Dots, Up- and Down Conversion Nanomaterials, and Metal Clusters

Along with INST scientists, eminent scientists from different IITs, IISERs, and national institutes like Dr. Chayan Kanti Nandi, IIT, Mandi, Dr. Raghumani Singh Ningathoujam, BARC, Mumbai, Dr. Bipin K. Gupta, CSIR-NPL, Delhi, Dr. Prasenjit Kar, IIT, Roorkee, Dr. Angshuman Nag, IISER, Pune, Prof. Sameer Sapra, IIT, Delhi, Prof. Indrajit Roy, University of Delhi, Prof. S.N. Achary, BARC, Mumbai, Dr. Pushpal Ghosh, Dr. Harisingh Gour Vishwavidyalaya, Sagar, Prof. Venkataramanan Mahalingam, IISER, Kolkata are delivering talks.
